The ministry of magic is responsable for the wizarding world, they help keep magic away from everyone else in the world, they help protect people in the magical world, they deal with most everything that goes on in the wizarding world.

The ministry of magic is completley underground, and the windows that are in the hallways all are charmed to make it look like the weather outside. In the atrium there is a giant fountian with witches and wizards, and house elves.

Departments that are in the Ministry of Magic include;

Bottom Level (10) (Stair access only):
Old Courtrooms - Old courtrooms where witches and Wizards were tryed for their crime.

Level 9: Department Of Mysteries
Hall Of Prophecys - A room with rows and rows of Prohpecys about witches and wizards.
The Death Chamber - Supposably a chamber where they kill withces and wizards.
The Brain Room - A room that contains a large glass container of brains.
Locked Room - Unknown.

Level 8: The Atrium
Foutian of magical Brethren - Foutian of a wizard, a witch, a centaur, a goblin, and a house-elf.
Elevators - The elevators that take you from level to level.
Security Desk - Where you check-in before going anywhere else in the ministry, your wand gets regestered.
Reception Area - The atrium.

Level 7: Magical Games and Sports
Irish and Dritish Quidditch Headquarters - The headquarters for planning Irish and British Quidditch Games!
Ludicrous Patents Office - a plaace where withces and wizards can "claim" somthing they made.
Offical Gobstones Club - The headquarters for a game that young witches and wizards play simalar to muggle "marbles.
" Gobstones the balls shoot a foul smelling liquid in the face of the opposing player when they lose a point.

Level 6: Magical Transport
Portkey office - The office where you can regester and get a portkey for magical transport.
Floo Network - The office where you can regester a fire place and connect it to the floo network so witches and wizards everywhere can access it!
Apparation Testing - This is where people are tested before they can get a licence to apparate.
Broom Controll - This place is responsable for the saftey charms and helping charms that are put on flying brooms.

Level 5: Magical Cooperation
Magical Office Of Law.
Confederation of Wizards.
Magical Trading Standards Body.

Level 4: Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures
Spirit Divisions - The department for Regulation and Control of spirits.
Beast Divisions - The department for Regulation and Control of spirits.
Being Divisions - The department for Regulation and Control of magical beings.

Level 3: Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes
Obliviator Headquarters - The headquarted for erasing the memory of witch kind/muggles who saw some kinf of magical act.
Muggle Worthy Excuse Committe - The committe that excuses for things that happen to muggles go through.
Accidental Magic Reversal Squad - The squad that reverses accidental magic.

Level 2: Magical Law Enforcement
Wizengamot Services - This is the group of people that will hear your case in the courtrooms if you get in trouble with the law.
Auror Headquarters - The aurors office is here, wanted signs of wizards and witches everywhere, you can apply to be an auror here too.

Supposed to be the office of The Minister Of Magic since it was not said anywhere else.
