Draco Malfoy: A favorite Slytherin whom we all love to hate. What do we exactly know about him though? His father Lucius Malfoy: a Death Eater in Voldemort's inner-circle. His other family includes his mother and Bellatrix (Black) Lestrange his aunt. What do we know about these people? From what we've seen they have all sided up with Lord Voldemort.

The pressure is on Draco to continue the power and the side in the family which he is remaining on. The power and pride are finally given a chance to shine in Draco with the overwhelming task he is given in HBP. He cracked under the pressure and showed weakness. He definitely showed he isn't all bad and doesn't have the power that Voldemort was looking for. He even shows a sign that the side he is on could be in the air. We all know he is the bully who is most likely insecure, siding up with those who have power. He can't leave the sides of Crabbe and Goyle his two "cronies." Dumbledore opened opportunity for him to reconsider whom he's fighting for. He definelty showed consideration in a "Draco-like" way. At this point, and as he becomes closer to Voldemort he is going to realize that Voldemort doesn't care for him personally, and doesn't care whether he comes back dead or alive.

Given the chance, and what we have seen from Draco, and his qualities: will he possibly side up with the good side in the end? I think it's a plot twist we may see or may not see, but we have to keep the possibility open. Could he go down in a heroic way fighting for Harry and the to end the power and reign of LV?

Quote: "My father told me all the Weasleys have red hair, freckles, and more children than they can afford... You'll soon find out some wizarding families are much better than others, Potter. You don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort. I can help you there."

Was he siding up with the popular one whom he could have heard much about from his parents? I doubt they would show to Draco that they were in fact Voldemort supporters, but they would have obviously talked about Harry. Was Malfoy serious when he asked to side up with Harry? Keep in mind he was only in his First Year. This could be a sign that he would want to side up with people of high power or popularity, and as Voldemort weakens could he reconsider whom he's playing for?
